The Assyrian Resource Centre took part in the last event in Fairfield, for the National Youth Week 2014, which took part at Fairfield School of Arts, on Monday 14 April 2014 at 5pm.

Many representatives of different communities and organisations attended the evening event.

The Youth Networking Evening was organised by the Community Relations Commission and the Fairfield City Council Youth Advisor Committee.

Mr Hakan Harman, Chief Executive Officer of the Community Relations Commission of NSW with his opening speech, stressed the importance of multiculturalism in the state of NSW and influence established by the youth in relation to events held during the National Youth Week. Mr Harman stated that the diverse cultures allows the opportunity to share a great understanding of each other and working in harmony to establish a society with respect to one another.

The importance of young leaders becoming active provides the diverse cultural backgrounds to be shared with common goals of creating a society in which every person has equal access and opportunity to make positive, cultural, social and economic contributions throughout their services to the local areas.
