Community Settlement Manager
The Assyrian Resource Centre (ARC) was established by the Assyrian Australian Association in 1984 to meet the settlement needs of a growing community in Fairfield and Liverpool. Today, the Centre works with approximately 3,500 clients each year.
The AAA is recognised as an Approved Proposing Organisation for the Community Support Program, and works alongside government agencies and mainstream providers to make services genuinely accessible to Assyrian families.

Lobby government agencies and mainstream service providers to implement equity strategies to enable access by Assyrians.
Provide ongoing information, support, training and skills development to members of the Assyrian community in Fairfield and South Western Sydney areas.
Promote the services of the Assyrian Resource Centre and provide information to the Assyrian community through Assyrian media outlets.
Address the settlement needs of Assyrian migrant, refugee and humanitarian entrants through direct services.
Develop and enhance case management of service provision to clients.
Increase social, educational and support network with youth, seniors and women to reduce social, cultural and physical isolation.
Funded by the Department of Social Services, these services help humanitarian entrants and eligible migrants build independence, wellbeing and connection from day one. Clients can access:

Referrals to housing services
Group information sessions
Driver education classes
Life skills workshops
Computer training
Sewing/craft/social groups
English conversation classes
Counselling services provided by STARTTS
Free immigration assistance, including form filling
