Happy Assyrian New Year -6775

The Assyrian New Year, also known as “Akitu”, is a vibrant and ancient celebration that marks the beginning of the year in the Assyrian calendar. In April 1St 2025, the Assyrian New Year will be celebrated in the year 6775 (in the Assyrian calendar), which reflects the rich history and deep cultural significance of the Assyrian people.

This holiday has been celebrated for thousands of years, dating back to the time of the Neo-Assyrian Empire (circa 911–609 BCE), and continues to be an important event for Assyrians around the world, particularly in regions of the Middle East, as well as the Assyrian diaspora.
